www.bgca.org Boys and Girls Clubs of America is a great organization that provides athletic and other programs for kids. You can find info on one near you here.

www.familyeducation.com A good parenting website with various info for categories including kids ages 7-11 and 12-18.

www.group.com Click on “curriculum” and then “Grapple” for a hip, preteen curriculum for faith-based education from a cool Christian Publisher.

www.iconoculture.com This marketing research company provides an e-newsletter and website info that includes the “Millenial” generation, which now includes preteens.

www.nick.com Disney is the master at connecting with preteens with their Nickelodeon brand of shows, magazine, products, promotions, and events.

www.preteenplanet.com This is sort of a gathering place for preteens with news, games, social interaction, and educational info in a preteen styled site.

www.tnpc.com The National Parenting Center provides a long list of very short articles, primarily on health related issues on kids and preteens.

www.ymca.net We all know YMCA or at least have sung the song. Here’s a link that will help you find one near you.

www.preteenalliance.org  This is a unique site, sponsored by the Lucille Packard Foundation.  While some of the info is only pertinent to the CA Bay area and Silicon Valley areas, there is a lot of interested data and research reported here for all preteens.

www.search-institute.org  This is a research oriented site that provides an array of interesting reports and practical ideas on how to help youth develop and succeed.
